The national Parks of Similan and Surin Islands offer the perfect conditions to enhance your training experience. With amazing marine life and crystal clear tropical waters (around 30° all year round), you will learn new skills and get incredible diving while gaining a great deal of experience.
You already are a certified diver, with PADI or any other diving organization, The Smiling Seahorse offers you to continue your diving education on board of our live aboard vessel.
From 11 dives (best of Thailand 4days/3nights) to 27 dives (Burma trip 8days/7nights) and 4 dives a day you are guaranteed to become a better diver.
All continuous education courses are on board, during diving trips, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, specialty training and Master Scuba Diver.

Advanced Open Water:
With the deep and navigation adventure dives you pick 3 more adventure dives from PADI programs.
The first advantage of this course is that you will get more confidence through education and experience, making it perfect to take right after the Open Water course.
You will learn technics allowing you to go deeper, up to 30 metres, then you’ll learn more about the navigation and how to use a compass at the surface and underwater. PADI Specialties enhance your diving skills and get more experience in the specialty you like best.
The Smiling Seahorse offers you to continue your diving education with the PADI specialty courses. Get on the Diving trip of your choice and combine the exceptional diving with some graduating courses making you an even better diver.
Have you ever wanted to go deeper, longer…? The specialty courses will teach you all you need to know to do it in a safe manner.
The Specialties available on board: from 75 Euros
- The Deep specialty will take you as deep as 40 meters! (4000,-THB)
- The Navigation specialty through its treasure hunt will make you an expert with the compass. (4000,-THB)
- The enriched Air Nitrox will teach you to dive with mixed gas up to 40% oxygen. (4000,-THB, includes 2 Nitrox tanks)
- The Search & Recovery specialty or how to find lost items such as mask, computer, or even lost dive buddy as part of Rescue Diver course. (4000,-THB)
- The Underwater Digital Photographer, will make you a stunning photographer and you will amaze all your friends with awesome pictures! (4900,-THB, includes camera rental )
- The Night diver, learn the proper procedures for diving in the dark. You will also get to see different creatures only active by night…! (4000,-THB, includes torch).
- The Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty is a must have, given it will enhance your buoyancy skills helping you consuming less air, stay away from aquatic life and move effortlessly underwater. (3000,-THB)

Master scuba diver:
This is the highest rating as a recreational diver, it rewards divers who have completed 5 PADI specialties and the Rescue diver course and have records for more than 50 logged dives.
The specialty training are a lot of fun to do, you get to learn a little bit of theory, which can be done on board and practice it when you dive. Each specialty requires from 2 to 4 dives where we will focus on the specialty program.
You can combine several specialties, on the same trip or over several trips like our combo Thailand/Myanmar 1 and 2, and if you get 5 specialties, rescue diver and 50 logged dives you can apply for the Master Scuba Diver rating.
The specialty training are a lot of fun to do, you get to learn a little bit of theory, which can be done on board and practice it when you dive. Each specialty requires from 2 to 4 dives where we will focus on the specialty program.
