29th of December, Burma opens again a wide range of wonder to our masked eyes... Our first day is around High Rock and what we call dragon island for its specific shape. We find a frog fish hiding in its sea of sponges and so well camouflaged. Other small wonderful things we spotted this days are colorful nudibranch, porcupine fish and cleaner pipe fish. Cleaner pipe fish are so difficult to take in picture because they live in cracks and hate the light. |
While up to 4 metres, nurse sharks are gentle creatures eating crabs, shrimps and lobsters, numerous around here which they suck in from cracks. One of the best experience in the South of Mergui Archipelago are the numerous cave systems to explore around here and which often host nurse sharks and rays. This day we were blessed by the presence of a sleepy nurse shark. |
