Exploring the Mergui Archipelago: Amazing Scenery, Marine Life and Great Times in Burma
For this second-to-last cruise in Burma, we were spoiled with great weather and amazing outdoor scenery!
Hundreds of islands, inhabited and uninhabited, sea gypsies around, emerald waters and white-sand beaches… Sounds like paradise, doesn’t it?
Here are some more amazing shots from this unforgettable Mergui Archipelago liveaboard trip.

Welcome Aboard the Smiling Seahorse
We were happy to welcome onboard Michael, Tamara, Louis and Ella from Switzerland; Jeff, Mark, Kathleen, Isabella, Sean, Tobias, Tiffany, Lindsey and Jerard from the USA; Benoît from Belgium; Rebecca and John from New Zealand; and Gavin from Great Britain.

The atmosphere was great! Everyone was enjoying their time relaxing on the fantastic sofas and hammocks between dives and excursions.

Discovering the Mergui Archipelago by Kayak and Zodiac
Exploring the Mergui Archipelago isn’t only about diving. Between dives, our guests could discover new places by kayak or zodiac, getting closer to the islands, beaches and spectacular scenery of this remote part of the Andaman Sea.

Having Fun Together
Of course, there was plenty of time for everyone to have fun together and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the cruise.

Refreshing Baths in Emerald Waters
With warm tropical waters and spectacular surroundings, it was hard to resist taking a refreshing swim between dives and excursions.

A Little Study Time Between Dives
While some guests were enjoying the scenery and having fun, others had to study for their diving certifications. Even on a liveaboard holiday, there is always time to learn something new!

Funky Moods at the End of the Day
And at the end of the day, everybody was in a funky mood!

Dancing and having fun!

Same for the dive guides!!!

Lucky Encounters Underwater
Underwater, we were very lucky too! We encountered both a manta ray and a whale shark during the cruise. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any pictures of these unforgettable encounters.
The diving was very fishy, with lively reefs, beautiful corals and plenty of fascinating creatures all around.

Our Underwater Mascots: Tiger-Tail Seahorses
Our mascots were there too! Among the smaller treasures of the Mergui Archipelago were several tiger-tail seahorses, including a juvenile.

Nudibranchs, Spanish Dancers and More Marine Life
Our beloved nudibranchs were there too! These colourful sea slugs are always a favourite subject for divers exploring the reefs and looking closely for smaller marine life.

Spanish dancers…

And a lot of others…

Always Last but Not Least: Our Guests
Always last but not least, our guests are what make every cruise so special. From underwater adventures to evenings filled with laughter, it was a fantastic group to have onboard.
