Exploring the Mergui Archipelago: Whale Sightings and Wild Reefs in Myanmar
This first trip to the Mergui Archipelago started with a very sunny and calm sea, and that gorgeous weather lasted the entire trip long!
Our dive gear had been in storage for a bit too long, so it was high time to go diving! 🙂 We were absolutely delighted to welcome and spend time on board with a fantastic group of travelers: Patrick, Olivier, Julien, Antoine, Alex, Camille, and Aurore—all hailing from the same diving club in France—alongside Arnosh from India. The atmosphere aboard our Myanmar liveaboard cruise was just perfect.

We experienced wonderful hospitality, plenty of laughs, and exceptionally delicious food prepared fresh on board.
Spectacular Dive Sites and Rich Marine Life
The dive sites across Myanmar were nothing short of spectacular, and the lucky divers exploring them were treated to fantastic colourful corals and thriving Andaman Sea marine life. The macro subjects and sweeping schools of fish were simply awesome!

Those beautiful, rugged islands and huge underwater rocks looked wonderfully wild, and every single dive felt like an irresistible invitation to come back for more.
An Incredible Minke Whale Encounter
To top off an already unforgettable expedition, we had the rare and extraordinary chance to observe a Minke whale right from the boat!
