Sharks, Rays, Dolphins and Macro Life: An Incredible Dive Trip in Myanmar
The strong currents brought by the full moon delivered an incredible amount of nutrients into the water, creating some fantastic conditions for marine life. We were lucky enough to spot grey reef sharks, tonnes of Jenkins’ and marble rays, a guitarfish, eagle rays and many schools of trevallies.
We also encountered pickhandle barracudas, Forster’s barracudas and longnose emperors, adding plenty of action to our dives. And the encounters didn’t stop underwater: during our surface intervals, pods of dolphins were cruising past the boat. What a bonus!

Incredible Macro Life
We were amazed as well by the great variety of macro marine life we encountered. The dives revealed bent-stick pipefish, harlequin shrimp, numerous tiger-tail seahorses, peacock mantis shrimp and elbow crabs.

From large pelagic encounters and schools of fish to tiny and colourful creatures hiding around the reefs, this trip was a wonderful reminder of just how much biodiversity can be found beneath the surface of Myanmar’s waters.
Thanks to all of you for joining this trip. It has been a great pleasure meeting you and making bubbles together. We hope to see you very soon!
