Continue your diving education onboard MV Smiling Seahorse
PADI and ISC Advanced Open Water course
This course is one that may seem daunting to some. Becoming an "advanced" diver after only a few dives seems too much for a new diver.
However, if the open water course is diving 101 we would like you to think of the advanced course as a diving 102 instead of a massive leap to diving 201. There is also the added bonus of no exam and no required videos for this course!
The first advantage of this course is that you will get more confidence through education and experience, making it perfect to take right after the Open Water course. This way you can take your new skills that are fresh in your mind and expand on the already sturdy base we've created.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER
The advanced open water course includes 4 to 5 adventure dives. Adventure dives are designed to give you a taste of the specific aspects of the diving world to see what you enjoy the most. They can also be used as credit towards the first dive of any specialty.
There are 2 mandatory dives, deep and underwater navigation, conducted on every course. On the deep dive you will learn techniques allowing you to go deeper (up to 30 meters) and on the navigation dive you'll learn more about how to use a compass and techniques to manoeuver confidently on a dive site.
The other 3 dives are for you to choose based on your interests. There are many to choose from but some that we would suggest are night dive, drift dive, Nitrox, fish identification, peak performance buoyancy, digital photography, etc.
Price:
8,000thb (with ISC)
+2,000 THB if you prefer a PADI certification card = 10,000 THB.
Each of the Adventures dives can be taken independently for 1500 THB each. The minimum required to complete all dives on our cruises is Open Water + Deep and Night Adventure dives. Adventure dives are an initiation dive which can either count towards your Advanced Open Water course or count as the first dive of the specialty.

Options for the theory:
- Read the theory online before coming and review your knowledge + practice in the water with your instructor during the cruise.

The national Parks of the Similan and Surin Islands offer the perfect conditions to enhance your training experience. With amazing marine life and crystal clear tropical waters (around 30° all year round), you will learn new skills and so some incredible diving while gaining a great deal of experience.
