Jingle Bells !

Another great trip in Burma, and quite a special one too : we were lucky to spend Christmas Eve on board, with seven divers to share the Christmas joy. And if we obviously did more "gliding through the fish" than "dashing through the snow", we sure were "laughing all the way" and "making spirits bright" ! ;)

Who knew the shrimps had tartan eyes ?
Franck, trying out his Christmas gift, took his pictures one step closer to the burmese fauna... With his brand new super macro extension, he gives us to see the most precious details of every creature, and we're loving it ! And since this is Christmas, we'll stick to the red and white theme for this week's pictures :)

We even got our Christmas tree !
And of course, Santa Claus was right on time to deliver his present to us : a superb whale shark came by on Seafan Forest, entertaining the luckiest of us during their safety stop...

Could you hope for a better Christmas present ?
Merry Christmas to you all !!

Our very own Christmas elve : Pouy and his everlasting smile !

The Smiling Seahorse ou comment passer de super moments magiques ansi que les fin d'annee. Un staff en Or, des spots paradisiaques.

Milles mercis pour ces 6 jours extras. C'etait Top!

Gone with the Wind

This last trip was a challenging one ! Wind and waves on the surface, but oh so beautiful underwater... and peaceful ! Accompanied by seven lucky divers, we enjoyed superb dives, surrounded by hundreds of fish and looking for the more discreet creatures.

Vibrant nudibranch enjoying the surge on top of a feather star...
These five days have been filled with crazy cave dives, fish frenzy, colorful corals... all material for beautiful memories !

Graceful spanish dancer... But can you spot the shrimp ??

When even a worm's mouth becomes a beautiful sight

At the other end of the beauty scale : the grumpy stonefish...
Some took the time to go further in their education : Kat and Owen are now Deep Divers, and Bryan and Steve Nitrox Divers. Congratulations !!

Macro heaven

This trip in Burma has clearly marked the return of the tiny ! We had been waiting for them little creatures since the season started, and this time, they were all here : hide-and-seek-champion ghostpipefish, elusive pineapple fish, carnival dressed harlequin shrimps, camouflage master orang outan crab... Torches in hand, eyes wide open, looking into every crack and hole, the treasure hunt has been a fructuous one !

Yes there is an animal in this picture ! Hint ? It's a crab...

Tiny and shy, yet so pretty, the Pineapple fish is a rare sight
The big animal lovers were not forgotten, since the huge but peaceful nurse sharks and impressive blotch stingrays were also at the rendez-vous.

Not only the Seahorses are smiling in Burma...
To help us in the search, ten curious divers came along, and took the trip on MV Thai Sea all the way to Black Rock. They even agreed to take part in the discovery of new dive spots, and we could spend a full day exploring unknown sites !
Let's not forget to congratulate the brave ones who spent some time bent on their books... alright, sunbathing with a book in hands ;) The award of "Most serious student" goes to Nicole, who did everything from Open Water to Advanced and Nitrox diver, and has now close to 30 logged dives, all in one go ! Meanwhile, Florian was also studying hard, to get his Advanced and Nitrox certifications, and the french team got their heads together to complete their Nitrox Course and enjoy the benefits of enriched air. Congratulations to you all !
