8 days diving around the undiscovered Mergui Archipelago

It has been a great trip one more time ;)
We were very happy to welcome on board: Jean-Pierre, Sylvie, Véro, Jean-Pierre, Wilfried, Alain and Simon from France; Eliane and Michel from Switzerland; Una and Jason from England, and Courtney from the USA.

Amazing underwater sceneries all along the way ...

Nice team, happy divers, The Smiling Seahorse

Hilarious times thanks to this funny team on the last trip!
With Jean-Pierre, Philippe, Thierry, Stéphane, Julie, Olivier, Luc, Laurence, Amaury and Virginie from France; and also Yew Choi from Malaysia and Leslie from the USA.
While some were studying ...

The others were resting in the sun ...

Under the water, we have been very grateful for awesome dives with thousands of fishes everywhere :)
An unforgettable night dive in Shark Cave with marbled rays, zebra moray eel, frog fish, seahorses, great barracudas, lobsters, anemone hermit crabs, decorator crabs and thousands of shrimps everywhere ...
And a fairytale one at Eagle Rock with huge schools of barracudas, yellow and blue-striped fusiliers, jacks ... swimming around us ;)
Turtles and a bamboo shark were also part of this incredible moments!

Happy people coming back to the surface !

The weather has been great giving us some astonishing scenaries during the day ...

And at night too ...

Hot hot hot !!! We need to refresh!

Thank you to our great cook Chui for a yummy yummy barbecue!

First Thailand trip of 2017!

Leaving Ranong under the rain, we didn't expect to have such a nice trip in the Similans and Surin islands!
On board, all nationalities again! Michèle, Sandrine and Ludivine from France; Janos and Deborah from Switzerland; Gun and Wille from Sweden; Christophe from Belgium; Maria from Bulgaria; Niels from Germany and Shiou Mei from USA.

From the first dive in Surin, we could see schools of fishes everywhere, and the first turtle and octopus of the trip!
The visibility has been amazing!
Koh Tachai, as always, answered all our prayers :)
And Richelieu Rock was full of marine life. Schools of trevallies, barracudas and batfishes all around ... Napoleon wrasses, turtles, cuttlefishes ... And the nudibranches were back ;)

Happy New Year on the Smiling Seahorse cruise...

The whole team of The Smiling Sea Horse wish you a great start of 2017 !
We spent an amazing time on the MV Thai Sea for this 8 days trip going to Black Rock! Full boat with 9 differents nationality to begin the new year with a lot of fun and great dives.

Warm atmosphere on board, nice dives with lot of small critters for the macro lovers, the nurse sharks were waiting for us, an eagle ray and some blotched stingrays.

Despite rough sea we had some great dives and gave us the opportunity to discover some new dive sites that we will come back. Big up to the team Korea for your liveliness and your smiles, you fit really well with the Smiling Sea Horse.

Christmas on the Smiling Seahorse cruise...

This trip has been a memorable experience! As well as the diving has been amazingly beautiful, the Christmas mood has been in the air the whole time (partly thanks to the non-stop X-mas songs played by Sofi and Tom :)
North America was in the place with Risa, Dan, Rob, Jo and Lindsay from Canada; Brandon, Sujin, Mira, Nick and Franck from the USA; and also Mickael, Bertrand and Lena from France; and Peter from Germany.

Congratulations to Bertrand and his daughter Lena who successfully got their Open Water, Advanced and Nitrox certifications!
Also to Brandon, Franck and Sujin for their Advanced Open Water; and Risa, Jo and Peter for their Deep Adventure Dive.
After the learning, it was time for some rest ...
What's better than snorkeling, laying in the sun, walking on lonely beaches, kayaking and enjoying the warm water!

And finally the 24th arrived and we were all so excited to spend it together on board ... The meal was fantastic and the atmosphere was homely!
